Now, we are on the ClickBank home page, which is an affiliate marketplace where you can promote other people’s products and earn a huge commission doing so, up to 75%.
Now we are going to click on Marketplace, and we are going to use the Marketplace to search for niches that are served by ClickBank merchants, so that we know that any niche that we choose has supporting products available that we can promote to make money online. O.K.
Now, let’s start off with a very general niche. I’m going to put “pets” in, and hit enter.
All of our results are sorted in order of popularity, O.K.
Now, our number one product here is Kingdom of Pets Complete Cat Training, O.K., and then we go down to Veterinary Secrets Revealed, Ultimate Secrets to Saltwater Fish And Invertebrates, Bake-A-Dog-A-Bone, Cat Secrets Pet Owner Guide, Turtle & Terrapin Care Guide … pets as a niche is far too general, we can see. We have to narrow it down. So let’s try “dogs”.
Now, let’s look at these results. Top products for “dogs”:
Secrets to Dog Training, Dog Food Secrets, Do It Yourself Complete Dog Training Program, Dove Cresswell’s Dog Training Online, The Complete Dog Food & Nutrition Guide, Healthy Food For Dogs … O.K.
We definitely see a pattern here. Dog training and dog food are two tightly focused niches that you can promote that have products on ClickBank that can make you money.
Now, let’s look at the stats on some of these products.
The Money Earned Per Sale is the value representing how much the average initial sale will earn you. O.K. $32.11 in the case of Secrets to Dog Training.
Now, the Future Money Earned is a value that’s quite often blank, as it is shown here, because it refers specifically to products that have recurring billing. So if there were expected future earnings off of an initial sale, they would be represented in this place right here.
Now, the Total Money Earned Per Sale is actually a combination of that initial sale and future expected earnings, to give you an idea of how much money you can expect to make if you’ve actually managed to get a customer through the system to make a purchase, O.K., in total, over the lifetime of that customer. Alright.
Now, the Percent Per Sale, in this case 75%, is how much you’re earning of the actual product price. So if this product were a $100.00 product, you would be earning $75.00. Alright.
Now, the Percent Referred value is the fraction of the vendor’s total sales that were referred by affiliates. So 77% of Secrets To Dog Training, 77% of their earnings, are earned through affiliate sales. Alright.
Now, “Gravity is a measurement that shows the number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by referring a paying customer to the vendor’s products”. That’s a direct quote from ClickBank, and they qualify that by saying: “This is a weighted sum, not an actual total”. So, basically, it’s a relative value that is showing you how many affiliates are pushing this product. 107 in the case of our Secrets To Dog Training example. 61, approximately, for the next product down, 13 for number three, 21 for number 4, O.K.
You can think of the Gravity value as a vote of confidence. The higher the Gravity value is, the more affiliates there are that believe this product is profitable, and is earning them money. This, of course, means that there is also more competition to sell that product; you are going to have a harder time in some ways, promoting this product, because there are other people out there aggressively doing the same thing.
What you have to do is work harder, and work smarter, and earn your share of this products profitable revenue, and of related products. O.K.
So, don’t be too intimidated by competition, just become a creditable competitor.
Now, let’s look at another topic.
I’m going to look a “solar energy”. I’m interested in that kind of technical area. Let’s see what we have here:
